The publishing of this Community Information does not mean these subjects are wanted by the Lummi Tribal Police Department. Within Washington State there are more than 16,000 registered sex offenders and there are more than 60 registered sex offenders that are within the external boundaries of the Lummi Indian Reservation. The information provided within this website is intended only to inform the community. Harassment or other unlawful acts towards any sex offender will not be tolerated. The release of this information is allowed per RCW 4.24.550 and the Washington State Supreme Court decision in State vs. Ward. These codes authorize the Lummi Police Department to release and inform the public of: 1) A sex offender released into Lummi's jurisdiction 2) Individuals who have been convicted of sex offenses that require registration with the local sheriff's office 3) Previous criminal history places him/her in a classification level which reflects the potential to re-offend.

RCW 42.17.260(9) prohibits the release of lists of individuals requested for commercial purposes, and the requestor expressly represents that no use of any such list will be made by the user or its transferee(s) or vendee(s). ”Commercial purposes” means contacting or in some way personally affecting the individuals identified on the list with the purpose of facilitating one’s commercial activities.
